Nexium & Diabetes

I take Nexium 40mg and wondered if this is going to alter any blood readings I take?

Not sure if any one else takes this but it stops your stomach from producing acid, so my stomach acid levels are very low, meaning, any foods I take in tend to stay in my stomach for longer and take longer to digest, so does this mean blood sugar will take longer to buld up if the food takes longer to digest?

I had been taking Nexium for many years before diabetes diagnosis. It was the first medication that I was able to stop once I began low carbing. Reduced carbs, no reflux.
These days I spend all the money I used to spend on medications, on vitamins and mineral supplements. My aim is to stop all of these one day soon.
