The closed loop systems are a good idea. But are only at an early stage. Like Libre sensors they are time limited and even worse with cannula changes every 2 or 3 days. This is much too frequent. When such changes and associated insulin reservoir sizes increase to cope with 1 week minimum then I’ll be on. At last a partial artificial pancreas but a weekly change would be even better. Medtronic already make a 7 day infusion set, which can be used with the 780g pump and medtronic cgm as a hybrid closed loop. If the insulin reservoirs aren't big enough, you can simply change the insulin cartridge, without changing the cannula.
