Interesting thread. Daughter diagnosed type 1 diabetic last year and got her medtronic minimed 640G a few weeks ago.
The pump has been fantastic, back to a happy child! what the diabetic clinic have said to us is, use the pump by itself for a few months and then they plan to start using the sensors if she continues to have loads of hypos.
Have taken notes of those times though. Our clinic does yearly delivery (waiting for our first one and rather worried how much is going to come!) so a yearly delivery of sensors is going to be useless.
