I used to get really bad hayfever, like so bad I literally could not go outside during the high-pollen times. My husband keeps asking me why I haven't had hayfever yet this year. I have no idea. Although I did get a small reaction to something yesterday while sitting in the car waiting for him to get something from a shop.

Thanks...you're probably right, but weird that it happened to coincide now....but I guess that's the nub when it comes to coincidences:)?

I wonder how many coincidences we'd need before it can become a fact?? :D:D

Maybe you could start a "Has LCHF cured your hayfever poll", Kevin, so we could find how many of us on the forum are seeing this too?

Yvonne read a Sunday Times piece this last weekend that talked about diet significantly affecting Hay Fever. It didn't mention LCHF, but talked about studies looking at removal of processed food, eating "clean"...there is something in this, just not sure what that "something" is:)

I am only getting hay fever like response now after eating processed food when I will cough and sneeze and get runny nose and sore eyes for about an hour or so. Not getting much of a reaction to pollen any more which is good as I have been unable to take antihistamine for years.

I expect like most things, only one, maybe two people, a fairly cheap book, the internet, suddenly it's a fact.

We should do a poll on asthma as well?

Why not... Do you fancy creating it?

Can you provide details of this book and links** you're referring to please, as I can't say I've ever actually needed to do any research on LCHF in relation to hayfever?

**Unless of course you're referring to Kevin's thread here, in which case I'm quite happy to accept other people's observations about their positive experiences, as none of us AFAIK have any miracle cures to sell or points to prove, and are just happy to report a welcome relief from often long term summer time misery.

I am perfectly happy to also state that my Hayfever may have nothing to do with my lifestyle diet change, but it would then be a very curious coincidence, like my migraines disappearing, infact any headaches and my ability to eat chocolate after 25 years of abstinence.

Some nice, unexpected additional benefits of my lifestyle change....I think:)

I really wonder what else will emerge as a plus!!

If that is a picture of the new you Kevin? you have done well to slim down so much. I guess, like me, shopping expeditions for new clothes are in order.

That's me:).

It's cost me loads in new clothes. I've had to change all my trousers yet again, now that I'm 28" waist.

Fortunately we have a Next seconds shop here, so just picked up 4 new pairs at £9 each...haha:)

Show off ;)

Though I did have to buy a new belt the other day a size small to medium.

For the first time ever I'm now lighter than my son.
