Hi everyone. I was diagnosed type 2 in March. I've not been told anything really by my Dr. No idea how many carbs I can have. Only what I see online. I've lost about 30lbs. but my Dr didn't even tell me to do that. I'm doing my best but sometimes can't be bothered because no one's really told me much. Help? No meds prescribed. I'm in the UK.
Welcome to the forum, sorry it’s in these circumstances. I’m just about to turn in for the night, but here’s a link to a very helpful blog from one of the members of the forum. Some bed time reading for you.
The only way we can know how many carbs we can eat is by testing as we all vary.
Do you have a meter so you can check before then 2 hours after each meal so you know how many carbs your body tolerates?
This shows what we aiming for:
Normal blood sugar ranges and blood sugar ranges for adults and children with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and blood sugar ranges to determine diabetes.

Awww I feel your frustration! Doctors on the whole tell you nothing I'm afraid, although you do get the odd one who will explain and help a little. You will learn FAR more on this site believe me. All of us have that initial bewilderment and fear of what happens next. However there is always people on this site who will answer any questions you have so try not to get stressed. I wish you well xx

You have done so well losing 30lbs.
It takes time and if you test it gives you a good idea what is better to eat or not. Some things pretty obvious.
Don't beat yourself up. It is a learning process and we all have good days, bad days and in between.
Best of luck.
