Hi I hoping someone can help me!! I'm type 2 on lyxumia lixisenatide 20mcg. I was due to start the new pen today but it's broken and I can't use it. I don't have another one and no where keeps it in stock or is open and tomorrow is the bank holiday. My question is what should I do about eating?? I have had some fruit today but nothing else. Should I eat more and if so what??? And what sort of reactions can I expect as I can't see that I'm going to a new pen before Wednesday??
 
@Marianne_p you need to call your 24hr chemist. It will be advertised at your local chemist but if now closed try boots on-line for who is booked to be 24hr right now. Local newspaper normally advertises it too.
They can at least advise on your next step. Let us know how you get on.
Even hospital pharmacy not 24hr but has to be 24 cover somewhere in your area. 111 might know too.

My hubby a nurse says to call the 24hr pharmacy and explain it to them. If they can't do anything ring NHS direct or GP out of hours as they should be able to help. If not call or go to a&e as they will be able to help. You may have to have the insulin you were using previously but its better than going without. But you must seek help and not leave it.

Thank you!! I rang 111 this morning and they said someone would ring back. Have just rang them again as had no call and person I spoke to said there is no record of earlier call So now awaiting again for someone to ring back!! Will look up chemists near me and see if they can help!!

Thank you!! I rang 111 this morn and was told a doc would ring back but no one has, so just rang again and person I spoke to says there is no record of earlier call!!! Now awaiting someone to ring back!!! Hopefully this time they will.

No problem. Hopefully something will be sorted for you. Hubby rang 111 for me once and they said someone would call and they didn't. He ended up taking me to a&e. When we chased it up we found it hadn't been logged.
