Those levels are a bit high, not drastic, but not as good as they should be. The difference between your before level and your 2 hour level should not be more than 2mmol/l. If it was, then the carbs in that meal were too many for your body to cope with.
Was your yogurt a plain full fat one, or was it a sweetened/fruity/low fat one? There are a lot more carbs in the sweetened.fruity/low fat yogurts. Of course, the bread is full of carbs, too, plus the milk in your tea. These pesky carbs mount up!!
Thank you for all your help. I'll carry on testing and see what my doctor says. If my fasting comes back in normal range would you recommend I ask for a glucose 2 hour test (Sorry don't know the proper name) or should my doctor do that anyway based on my readings. Sorry for all the questions, I understand your not a doctor and that it's just personal opinion and advice, thanks againAs you are looking for evidence, then yes, keep eating normally. That is a good idea.
Looking at what you ate, your levels were as expected to be honest. You had a lot of fast acting high GI carbs and very little fat. I would say those levels were pre-diabetic with an element of insulin resistance thrown in, but only a blood test will reveal the true situation. I am not a doctor, and am not trying to diagnose you. That is just a guess. Stressing about it may make matters worse, as stress is also a major cause of high levels.
Had you added something zero carb to the bread such as meat, eggs, fish etc your readings should not normally have been any higher. Only carbs will raise your levels. Fats slow down the digestion and spread the load out a bit, and will not raise levels. Protein has hardly any effect at all.

Is 6mmol high for a non-diabetic two hour blood sugar (after pizza) would people say?
I can't see anyone saying that the original poster is at diabetic levels. I would factor in that she is taking a big dose of metformin for another condition and home testing is not that accurate and recommend that she is checked out by medical professional.Based on the title 7.6 after two hours, why did some said she is diabetic level?
The first person who replied said I may be pre diabetic or have insulin resistance but she said she wasn't a doctor and to see my doctor. also I had eaten a lot of high carb and high sugar things. My next lunch was 2slices of bread a yogurt and cup of tea and at 2hour i was 7.9. I made an appointment with the doctor for this week due to increased thirst, frequent urination and falling asleep by 9 which is very unusual for me. I thought I would do a few readings to take with me to the doctors and also ask what you guys thought hense the post.
