Whilst hb1ac is only slightly raised by the range given (equates to 47.2mmol/mol) it is fractionally under the U.K. diagnostic level of 48 (6.5%) is pretty close. The insulin and c-peptide are slightly below range. I’m a very long way from knowledge about the specifics of the test but would ask if it were a fasting test or not as I think this has a relevance. Also do you have any symptoms that caused you to take the test? Did they also test any antibodies eg GAD?
Hi. Your HBA1c is reasonable at present but you want to avoid it going nearer to 7%. The C-Peptide shows you are tending towards T1 rather than T2. I had a higher result for my first C-Peptide but more a more recent test showed it had gone down further to exactly your result of 0.74ng/mL (= 245pmol/L) as my beta cells continued to go downhill. I can't comment on the insulin result, but a C-Peptide below 250pmol/L fasting result is considered T1. The usual T1 range appears to be 80-250 pmol/L with some serious T1s being below 80 pmol/L. For info what meds are you on and what sort of diet?
