Non-invasive blood sugar testing.

Right now I'm being absolutely bombarded with adverts for non-invasive blood sugar testing by devices that either resemble a wristwatch or are similar in appearance to a blood oxygen saturation monitor. Right now I have Abbott Freestyle blood sugar monitors but my Endocrinologist is going to be banned from prescribing them as she has been prescribing them when she shouldn't; thus I am looking for something to replace that.

Does anyone have any experience of these devices - are they accurate do they work at all?

@paulos There was a scam alert over here in Canada about those devices. People are buying them thinking they are buying this new prick free blood sugar monitor only to find out they bought an Oximeter finger monitor which is a fraction of the cost.

These adverts keep popping up every so often. There are a number of threads on here about them already - I'll see if I can find one.

The usual answer is that if the tech worked, the big boys would already be selling it: that there is at present no known non-invasive way to measure BG; and if this advice proves wrong, to please come back and tell everyone. Nobody (since Dec 2019, when I joined the forum) has ever done so.

here's a similar thread from last year:
