Being diabetic is utterly rubbish most of the time. I can't eat what I want, when I want; and if I want to maintain decent blood sugar levels then I have to do loads of cardio... which I historically and famously hated. I have to take Metformin, which we all know is the devils work in pill form, and overall if I thought about it too much I really could lose sight of the fun in life.

This weekend Mr Luceloo and I went away for the weekend. Nothing fancy, just a weekend of being petrol-heads.
As I'm a few sizes smaller than I was when I diagnosed in August, I took a new skirt (which is already a size too big), and my old-faithful belt to keep it up.
I've been wearing stretch trousers and leggings for months, so no belt has been needed until now. I expected to have to tighten it in a notch as I've worn it on the first hole for years. Imagine my shock when I discovered that even the tightest notch was too big!
Best belt has now been rendered redundant, and whilst I loved that black patent leather lovely, I'm so very very happy to say goodbye to it!!

If you are losing weight, what have been your non-scale victories? At what point was it that you realised that the scales weren't lying, you really were dropping the pounds?

Has to be when I had to buy size 10 jeggings :)
I had been given a gift voucher for M&S and, knowing my size 14 jeans were loose, picked up a 12 to try on and found them too big so had to get the 10s.
Wish they had a bigger label so I could 'accidentally' leave it hanging out lol.
