Non stop hypo

Anyone tried before?

No one tries to have a non stop hypo. It's not something to aim for, it's something to be avoided. Are you intending to ask a question about how to try and avoid hypos?

Not dosing much but keep going hypo whole day and whole night.

That suggests you need to have a careful look at your insulin doses, starting with a basal test. Then once your confident your basal dose is right and isn't causing hypos you can think about whether you insulin to carb ratio is working correctly for you.

It's been ok until last few days. I start giving lesser and lesser but still going hypo very frequently. I'm afraid to sleep tonight! I had cake without dosing and still went hypo after an hour.

Haven't bolus for last 6 hours. But I think the morning lantus is still working. Assuming my beta cells are momentarily revived, no matter how much i eat I'll still be going hypo whole night now.
It's midnight where I am.

Hi @tinyfilosofer Firstly I hope you're ok ? Have you contacted your healthcare team about your hypos ?

A decrease in insulin requirements could be a number of reasons, exercise, heat, illness etc, checking your basal levels are right are a good starting point as suggested by @catapillar http://www.salforddiabetescare.co.uk/index2.php?nav_id=1007

I'm alive! I'm alive!

Thanks for the concern! I did reduce my lantus this morning. Then I went all high today. Completely crazy readings. Grrrr.

I know the feeling well. Either high or low, but never in between. This happens to me a lot with the first shot of the day. Wake up with 5-6, then give myself insulin and my levels rise up to 11+, but then at the 3 hour mark I just fall down way too fast... like if insulin only started working many hours after the injection. I don't want to go so high after meals, but if I increased the units then the hypos would become much more severe some hours later.

Yes. If I don't give a strong bolus, I get high for 3 hours. If I do, then I dip too fast. Not sure if the lantus makes a diff because if I inject lantus at 8am and not eat or bolus at all, my level remains the same at 12am.
