I agree with not watching the news and instead watching nature. With my 64th birthday looming tomorrow I don’t care anymore and very much believe it’s a statistic I can’t do anything about. Come and have a moan here when you feel ready and I hope your mood lifts soon x
I lead a health walk once a week and attend others in the same scheme in my area. Maybe try and see if there’s something like that where you live? It’s good to meet like minded people and we always head for a green space.I've been looking at various resources and exercises
There are some great resources around - a really simple one I was given was uneven breathing - in for count of three, and out for count of four. I'm not sure exactly why it works but it does the trick to calm the worst anxiety attacks for me. I still get the odd one, usually at night and it's like a panic attack but the breathing takes it down a level or two and then I can get to sleep.Thanks. I've been looking at various resources and exercises on the NHS web site, and will try some of those this week. Fingers crossed!
