Hi Everyone, I've been here before, but a long time ago.
I was diagnosed T2 12 years ago now, and kind of fell off the good management wagon during lockdown etc.
I had my first blood test for 4 years last week, and was somehat shocked to have an HBA1C of 93!!
I came away from my appointment with a perscription for Rybelsus, a threat that I'll be put on insulin if I don't lose at least 15kg in the next months and a complete refusal to supply any testing strips on the NHS.
So looking for advice on the current most cost effective testing kit - I have an old "Code Free" meter in the cupboard, but putting a new battery in didn't bring it back to life, and as the strips with it expired in 2015 I think a new one is in order!
Thanks in advance
Mat
