I've been a type 2 diabetic since 2011 and am very use to dealing with it. I live part time in the UK and Florida. Over the years my sleeping has got steadily worse. Waking because I'm too hot every two hours then needing to pee. I'm 72 so well past menopause. I done all the usual stuff and keep the bedroom as cool as possible. Have discussed the situation with both my American GP and my UK diabetic nurse, but no really help. No one is keen to take me off metformin and I react badly to Semaglutide. Any ideas?
Hi @lornawales , do you test your blood sugars? Do you know your latest HbA1c result? Sorry for the questions but feeling hot and peeing more are signs of high blood sugars.
I put the radio on and it makes me sleep.
Also use a Silentnight throw which is cool one side and warm on the other. Very good.
This all works well as long as I don't get pins a needles and numbness in my left hand.
