Your doctor is being generous and trying not to put undue stress on you. An Hba1c of 50 could be better. It is still at diabetic levels. It would be better to get this down to the low 40s, definitely under 48. Maybe next review?

I can't help with the feelings you are getting in your fingers and hand. You need to tell your doctor.

Yes hopefully next review will be low 40's I test myself and I am usually 5 before food and about 6.8 2 hours after , the strange feeling in my little finger is doing my head in

Hi. Be aware that the glitazone drugs can cause side effects for some so you may want to suggest to your GP that you change to another drug. They can work quite well but you need to be aware of possible side effects. BTW what sort of diet are you having and is your BMI in the good range?
