Novapen 6 falls apart

Several times when I have picked up my novapen 6 it has come apart and the plunger retracts fully. Apart from lacking a reliable way to fix the part which holds the cartridge, this wastes a lot of insulin getting the plunger far enough advanced to prime a cartridge wich has been in use for some time.

Tonight I ejected the last units from an old cartridge (not enough for the dose), unscrewed the needle, opened the pen, removed the cartridge and then discovered there was nothing for a needle to screw onto.

Is it only me, or are these of very poor quality manufacture ?

needles, bloods sampling, infact most medical stuff which usually result in panic/anxienty attacks :(
screws onto the cartridge itself which protrudes slightly from the pen after inserted or at least does with the nova echo

the threads for penfill cartridges are usually pretty small heres a couple images of mine. the threads don't go all the way around, just mostly :) and hard to see (maybe as i cba to put on my glasses)

Hello @MuttNJeff , this problem with the pen falling apart, I had it happen a couple of times. It was because I screwed the needle in too tight. So when I changed the needle it opened the pen, so when I got the pen for the next injection it was now in two pieces. So once aware of the problem I now hold the bottom half of the pen when changing needles. Like you I had to adjust the pen to get it to work after it had been apart. So take care changing the needle. I am sure others have found this problem.
