Anyone else on Novomix 30 insulin pens had faulty pens. I have just had a second episode where a pen is ineffective. In fact my BG continued to rise after use. One in February and today. I noticed my BG levels were high and then taking greater note saw that injecting myself wasn't having any effect even with larger doses. The minute I used a new pen it all went back to normal. I thought it was me the first time and finished using the pen but it has just happened again. I started a new pen weds evening and saw increased levels all day yesterday and into today. Swapped pen for evening dose and saw an immediate reduction. I see they had a manufacturing problem in 2013 and was wondering has anyone else experienced this.

Report to the MHRA website....

I'm not a novamix user tho.

My partner uses Novomix 30 and is currently on fixed dose of 30 units twice a day....can't comment on its effectiveness as he doesn't monitor his bs levels on a regular basis so no info as to whether it is working correctly or not....
....however he has had a couple of episodes where the pen appears to have got stuck on delivery so not sure if the correct dose has been administered or not......not sure if this is down to a faulty pen or his injection technique which seems haphazard at the best of times....

I had two different faulty batches back in 2013 as the replaced faulty batch was faulty too! It was published in MHRA website on 25/10/2013 to recall the faulty batches.I was quite ill and constantly had hypoglycaemia when I was using the faulty insulin. Some batches had double or triple doses of insulin and some of the batches didn't have any insulin at all.
My question is has anyone was given faulty insulin and received a compensation for it.
