Obviously I am aware that before use this is kept refrigerated but after an incident this morning where it appears my “in use” prefilled pen insulin failed to work properly can I ask how others store this during normal day to day activities and how long for? My low useage means I usual keep it in my tester wallet throughout the daytime where it is “cool” but in no way chilled! Also it takes me a couple of weeks to use it all up given a daily useage of 24units only!
I have tried calling my local clinic and have left a message but understand that it may be a while before getting an answer so here I am asking for other users experiences please.

Most insulins are fine for 30 days out of the fridge (unless its really hot), so they should be fine for a couple of weeks.

It probably does say how long its fine for in the leaflet that comes with it (y'know that leaflet that normally never gets read :))
