Numb toe

It's time I admit to myself that my big toe is numb.
I have been to scared to go to the doctor but I think I really need to go and get it looked at.
I'm posting on here because really need to take my head out of the sand And I know that if I write it here then I will have to do something.

It could be something as simple as a shoe being too tight and affecting the nerve.
I have had bother with my feet in the recent past - but they have recovered - admittedly there was severe pain needing antibiotics and a lot of cushioning underfoot, but even being over 70 did not mean I did not heal.
I massaged my legs and used hot water to get the blood flowing, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day - and it came right.
My GPs were very good and saw me straight away - I do recommend it as early treatment has meant less bother in the following days.

One thing I found only recently as some cheap wide toed non slip clogs - from Temu!!
They have flat, thick spongy soles and from about the second day I have been walking so much more than had become normal. Up and down stairs is so much easier, no twinges in knees, hips or back. It wasn't really bad - but I had just got a bit cautious, even around the house. Now I am getting a few aches and pains from the greatly increased activity. My balance is better - thanks to the wide toes I think, no more swollen stiff ankles either. All for about £4.50 a pair. I thought I had good footwear until these arrived.

Have you a diabetic Nurse you can see it may be quicker than getting a Dr appointment

Popped into Dr today and asked and they said they would rather me see the doctor so the earliest appointment which I have taken is 17th Aug. So not too long
