Hi,

Thanks for allowing me to join the forum.

I've been diabetic since December 2019 type 2.

Up until December 2022, I would have considered myself with controlled diabetes/albeit family history of diabetes. I'm 41, feel I may be peri menopausal (but doctors don't seem to want to test until I'm 45) and have managed to lose nearly 3 stone in 4 months.

I started having trouble with lower back pain which turned out to be Cervical Myelopathy and was operated on in January 2023, in the lead up to being diagnosed with CM both my hand's fingers went numb along with my tummy, the surgery helped with the hands but have left me with a numb tummy and more recently feeling pressure in the lower abdomen.
The surgeon told me my numb tummy wouldn't improve with surgery leading me to wonder if it has anything to do with diabetes?

Bowels not quite right but I attributed this to the Myelopathy and am on a laxative daily. (small 5ml dose)

I am on the Victoza injections for weight loss I was not able to continue this whilst in hospital on a surgical ward which was a 3 week stay (at that time I was on private prescription of Saxenda just switched to Victoza after hospital by my GP surgery who then said they could help) so I had kind of ruled this out being the problem.

Grateful to hear if anyone has experienced a numb tummy and it turned out to be diabetes related.
