I've just remembered a video on youtube I saw years ago, by Dr Bernstein.
He was discussing the difficulty he had preventing weight loss for his very low carb patients, and how he tried different measures to try and get them to gain weight (or to re-gain it).
He tried all sorts of things, including instructing them to drink a shot glass of olive oil before every meal (gosh, that is going to whet your appetite, isn't it?)
But that didn't work.
In the end, he just found that increasing protein would work, although any weight gain was very slow.
