Off the cuff Fat Fast

Supper - 100g salmon, coleslaw, rocket cheese olive oil salad. Lot later than desirable and Def too many cals for a ff 'meal' but then again I have just been for a 12 mile run round Hyde park so we'll call it quits on that one. The locals aren't moving very quickly in their chelsea tractors because of the tube strike but it has eased now so will be home wood bound soon.

Ok home now. Thanks op stack! Quick broth before bed. As thought way overcooked on the protein (outlaw's fault) but balenced out with exercise making a deficit cals wise.

Now at home going to get all fatty! boring but thinking how many bpc til I can take no more?

Thursday day3. Ketones 2.7
BP coffee with1teaspoon of each, butter and coconut oil ( I will find MCT oil today, I looked it up in The Nutrient Bible.)
2 sorrel leaf and cream cheese roll-ups.
No exercise to speak of, will try tread milling after lunch, very slowly.

Lunch
Mushroom omelette. 4macadamia nuts. Tablespoon of steamed kale with a teaspoon of macadamia oil and mustard

I thought that at first but, after some research, I found out that a good MCT oil is truly made up of biologically available MCTs C6, C8, and C10. Whereas coconut oil mainly comprises of C12 = Lauric acid which isn't a true MCT (although it has great health benefits) and is not biologically available.

True Bulletproof coffee (made with MCT oil as opposed to coconut oil) will put you in ketosis quicker than Bulletproof coffee made with coconut oil instead of MCT Oil.

Simplified explanation but, true - certainly in my experience. I'm guaranteed to be in fat burning ketosis between 2 and 3 hours after my Bulletproof coffee in the morning! :D
Thanks for the input - is there one brand that you would recommend over others.

I will have a look in Holland and Barrett, that is where I get all my "goodies" that I take. I tried searching for MCT but it didn't bring anything up. Has anyone else found them there? I do get my coconut oil there when it is BOGOF.

Morning troops

Dodgy 6.7 bloods (meter probably broken as explained in type 2 fasting thread). 0.7 ketones so just under half way to goal.download.jpg

Bpc for brekkie. Will update with all sorts of irrelevance later.

Walked about 7km to a friend's house to feed her cats while she is away for a few days.
Was not very hungry, so my dinner was some grilled Haloumi with some lettuce leaves. Later I will have a cup of coffee with a teaspoon of MCT oil. ( I hope I've bought the right one! )

I've put everything through MFP and once again I've missed the target of 90% Fat. Seriously unchuffed by this result - harder than it looks to make 90% Fat.

However, for today - Fat (79g) 80%, Carbs (10g) 5%, Protein (32g) 15%

My BGL before dinner was 4.1
@Baruney, wish you lived nearer/I have a spare meter you could have.

Cheers @Merrylizard1314 I think I have a spare mini as at one stage it was cheaper to buy them with 50 strips on ebay than a box of strips alone. I have an aussie 'dealer' for the Neo but that ain't going to help in the short term.

% minute breather BPC for lunch.

Just experimenting with something for @hankjam so don't know if it'll work or not

...nope that didn't work it's a secure link - will revisit later.

Thanks Lou:)

@hankjam - got a link up eventually via a very convoluted route regarding the heart rate stuff. Catch up with you on that thread later.

So I said today would be boring food wise and indeed it has. 2 BPC down and going to have another one at 6pm as playing in a racketball semi finals at 7.45. Only food passed my lips today was a slice of St Agur and a slither of that Hafod I bought at Neal's Yard.

Mental state - headache. I don't think it is because of FF but screen time. Been on the PC all day and only break from work is this forum every so often. Yeah great for the eyes.

Energy levels good. Interestingly (or not) yesterday miles 4567 were a struggle, very low energy, but 8 onwards it was like a switch had been turned on and all systems go. Was wondering if that was depletion of dietary fat and then burning of body fat kicking in. Will be interesting to find out and will try again. However breath was like the nail parlour down albert square but used to my advantage by breathing at non smiling cockney runners. Take that!

Bloods - who knows.

Ketones - if my breath is anything to go by - getting there.

Sure Lou

will have to dig it out. Shhhhhh!
It was these guys http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/pharmacycentral

3 boxes cost me £11.98 + £4 postage. Can't see any in their shope later but you can contact them direct. I was going to do that sometime in the future but the aussie pharmacies generally have very good prices.

Thanks Baruney

Thank you Merrylizard had a wonderful day with some naughty home made cake and lots of goodies
It's doubtful home made cake is naughty when a birthday is involved.... it's the only time I bake them.... birthday is not a birthday without a cake... glad to hear the day went well, HB to you.
and goodies, good stuff.

Ok did have food for supper in the end. Happy monsieur salad to celebrate the racketball win as opposed to the usual visit to the bar - terribly social game. Through to the finals on Saturday night. Downside of which means no escape from bar. Dilemma.

Didn't have a bpc at 6. Had a higher 5 zero electrolyte 25g cream cheese and 2 teaspoons sunpat no added sugar peanut butter instead as had to rush out door to walk the dog. Will mfp the macros later but hoping to get to bed this side of midnight for quite some time.20150709_220922.jpg
