Oh Rats!!

Hello again, after my period of enforced abstinence from the low carb diet, I'm now returned to my own version of LCHF I still can't digest fruit, vegetables or other dense fibrous foods but, for the last three days I've very successfully returned to a low carb, healthy fat diet. I haven't seen much difference to my BG levels just yet - they were in double figures for around three weeks prior to and just after my op, but back down to single figures now. I just want to thank people for their kind PMs and good wishes,:) those of us who can eat LCHF or low carb are sooooo lucky, in my experience a far more efficient way to control diabetes than meds.

Hi @13lizanne,

I am so glad to hear the good news and sure that you will see your old normal blood sugar readings in no time. You are a true winner as you prevailed through a tough period of time both physically and mentally.

Back in the saddle - its like riding a bike. Well done, and have a good recovery. Welcome back.

Yippee! I'd been wondering how you were getting on.

Fbg was back down to 7.6 this morning, still a way to go but I'm so grateful that it's only taken five days back on lchf to get there (from 13/14 range) last week also very grateful to skill of NHS surgeon ! And thanks for the good wishes all x
