Okra or ladyfingers is a plant used for cooking in most southern countries where it grows. It is not only believed to be a superfood for those who are looking for good dietary fibers but it also has a positive effect on sugar levels in the blood.

How to consume:

  • Cut okra into pieces.
  • Prepare rice water by boiling rice in a pot and then draining it.
  • Put pieces of okra into the rice water and set overnight.
  • Squeeze the okra into the rice water.
  • Drink on an empty stomach every morning/day.v

That would send my sugars into double figures.

For which type of Diabetes and what do you do with the rice?

I could never get over the slime quotient of okra btw.

Where are you getting the arsenic?

Rice is notorious for containing relatively high levels of arsenic. This can be mitigated by washing and soaking it. The water used to cook it in is probably quite a concentrated source. Personally I would avoid.
