Omeprazole on Empaglaflozin

Informed by Pharmacist Omeprazole adversely affects how Empagliflozen works.
Thoughts please

Neither of them flag up an interaction between those two meds, which is odd. I’d go back to the pharmacist and ask for more info or check with your Dr.

I agree with the above, couldn't find adverse interactions. Speak to the same pharmacist to clarify.

I have written to the GP to ask for review and also looked on line and like you all I couldn’t find any information.

You've done exactly the right thing. The pharmacist should have been clearer but to give him/her the benefit of the doubt there could be something else influencing his opinion in your case. Best to check. Sorry you were upset and hope you got a quick appointment with your GP for the meds review. Good Luck.
