OMG!! Patronising or what

Jesus Christ!
I watched that for fully 3 minutes until I found a sharp stick to poke in my eye, which was even more fun.

All the best,

Thats a better reply than I could come up with. Mine would have been downright rude.

Why are we up so late? (early?)

oi fergus pass me that stick, i wanna go  . It's nearly 2am and I wasn't feeling at all tired till I watched a bit of that :| . well least I got something to help me fall asleep now! :D

if you think that is patronising which it is you should try talking to the diabetic nurse at are diabetic care unit this woman was talking to my hubby like he was a 4 year old

The general standard of dietary advice is worse than useless. I think it's often harmful. Why do the doctors think that type 2 is ALWAYS progressive and complicaions are unavoidable? because they send people out to cope with this rubbish

I find that a lot of medical people are very patronising to diabetics. The nurse I have to see every 6 months is so patronising that i feel like smacking her one.
Went last month and she spoke to me like a small child. Didn't answer my questions properly. It was as though she had a set routine and didn't want to change it. She finally gave me my blood test results after being asked 3 times. She gloated on the fact that my cholestrol had up with no concern for the fact that i was having digestive problems(now confirmed as IBS).

my nurse is the same, she asked if I pinched my skin when injecting and when I said I did she told me I shouldn't, I told her I felt more comfortable doing this and she told me off saying I shouldn't and it wasn't necessary. I mean what's it got to do with her anyway, my way works so what's her problem, It's not her having to stab herself numerous times a day! and when I went to see a Locum doc a few weeks back and told her I was type 1 she asked how long I had been diabetic, I told her 2 years and she then said "oh your more type 2 then needing insulin" (just because i had developed it in my 30s). I told her I had had the antibody test that comfirmed it was T1 and she shut up, she had never met me before, didn't have my notes so what makes her think she knows more about me than I do myself I am sick of the different advise from these people, so much that I have cancelled my annual appointment with the nurse and will only see my consultant. I want to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about, not people who just think they do as I probably know more than them, and I'm frightened I might one day clobber one of them, someone should tell them diabetes doesn't make you stupid and thick so not to treat us as if we were
