Nothing bad ever came out of the Motown stable but, for me, Marvin Gaye was magnificent.

She is such a fun person. And so generous.

Favourite Dolly quote: 'How long does it take to do your hair, Dolly?. Reply : 'I don't know, I'm never there!'.

Just love the list some classics there my all time favourite is by The Originals, 'Baby I'm For Real' always make my hair stand on end( I'm bald!).
Followed by Smokey Robinsons 'Tracks Of My Tears' & 'Tears of A Clown'
But I would put in that list hundreds and hundreds more. I don't think I would ever get tired of listening to Motown.

The Originals like many others at Motown started as backing groups.
They appeared on many of Marvin Gayes best work. When and if you listen to their songs, you will say to yourself, oh yeah I've heard that!

BTW, as much as I love that song ( many versions including Ricki Lee Jies )

Some great stuff there. Love Edwin Starr as well

Working my way back to you by The Spinners is fantastic as well.

Thanks RRB !!
