One more tiny step closer

Today, for the first time in weeks I managed some lunch. I had some Greek yogurt with strawberry's, blueberry's and blackberry's. It was only a small amount, but I did it! I am so thrilled, it's such an achievement for me.

Thank you so much. It has been one of the biggest struggles ever, but I feel that with the love and support from people here, I am getting there. My calorie intake is still very low, but at least having lunch has pushed it up more than it would have been without. I truly can't thank the people here enough.

With you all the way - well done  x

Thank you so very much. No, it's been anything but easy, but I have done it again today. The same as yesterday, but I've done it. I am so hoping this is a new beginning.

Congratulations Defren

Thank you Mary and Sid. I am convinced my progress has only been achieved by the support offered so freely here.

One more tiny step closer...

Then two back. Very bad day calorie wise today. I just can't face food. Also extreme fatigue again. I have not given in to it, but it's so very hard not too.

So sorry it's a bad day. Is there a fave food you can tempt yourself with when you feel like this? Look forward to the better days to come; I'm sure they will.

I have for the first time had a real craving, and I can't help wonder if that's why 'other' food is just cutting it. I really want fish and chips from the fish shop. I won't give in, but this is the very first time I have had a craving and even felt a wobble of weakening. AAGGHH. It's so hard, white juicy cod and lovely greasy chips.

I am trying to make it better by having fresh fish for dinner tomorrow.

I actually HAD cod and chips from the chippy the other day! I peeled off the batter and binned it (REALLY hard to do)! but the fish was still good. I had a few chips, then put the rest in a plastic bag and froze them. I find that chucking a few in the deep fat fryer straight from frozen for just a couple of minutes works out really well. Can have a few as a treat now and again that way, and they come up nice and crispy

The problem is all about willpower, and while I am quite determined to stick to low carb, if there were real fish and chips from the fish shop placed in front of me, I just know I would munch my way, very happily through the lot. I know myself well enough to know I daren't bring some into the house.

I am not surprised you are tired looking at your food diary. Metformin has some really bad side effects for some people, including anorexia. You should insist your dr sees you. Terrible things can happen on diets so low in calories, including death. I implore you to see someone as soon as you can. Here is a link for you.

Thank you. Today is just a very difficult day.
