I have been using One Touch Select for the last few months without any problems. Today I went to the Dispensary to collect lancets and test strips and was told by the Dispenser that they have been discontinued. I was told to make an appointment with the Diabetes Nurse who will sort out the problem for me. It is a Friday and so I cannot even get an emergency appointment until Monday. In the meantime I am down to my last few strips and lancets. Does anyone know whether this monitor has been discontinued? I only ask because it would appear you can still buy strips on Amazon and it still seems to be available on line.

I had the same issue with the one touch ultra2 a few weeks ago - apparently with that meter it relates to the strips being out of patent so generic strips can be produced leading to loss of profits for the patent holder

Same in the Netherlands. Ordered strips almost two weeks ago, usually I get a text message I can get them two days after ordering. Only realized I didn't get a message when there were hardly any strips left. Phoned the pharmacy and, well, problems with ordering, and besides, do you know your insurance hasn't covered strips since september? Expect to get a bill end of year! Have a date with my favourite nurse next tuesday, hope she'll still be my favourite nurse after the date. I was lucky to find some more strips with my emergency-meter, and I have a Libre. I don't trust it around hypo's though. I hope you found a way to get to know your blood-sugars!
