Today i went to pick up my prescription for them to only go and tell be that my prescription was 'lost'. I was able to get test strips from them but no needles so im probably going to have to wait a few days.

What should I do? Can I use the needle for a few days?

type 1 pay it forward might be able to help on facebook.

Where are you? I have a box the new chemist gave me by accident.

If you are in England, your doctors should be able to fax (yes, they still seem to use those old fangled things) an emergency prescription to your pharmacy.
Reusing a needle is not recommended as it will blunt and you may get infection. (Yes, I know many people do reuse their needles but it should not be necessary and is definitely not recommended).
A call to your GP should be able to sort this out. I have come across some wonderful pharmacist who will do this for me. If they decline, I would go and sit in their waiting room until they provide a prescription. I might even beg and tell them you are not able to use your insulin which keeps you alive.

You may want to request two boxes of needles so you can keep one in reserve at all times in case this happens again.

If you're desperate you can buy needles from another pharmacy that has them in stock, you don't need a prescription.

They can also be sourced from Amazon/ebay and you might even get a fast delivery option.

Hi. Yes, needles don't need a prescription. You could choose to re-use the needle for day or so until too blunt to use. I use just one per day. The risk of infection is just about zero as long as you remove the needle and place the cover over it. I always have a reserve of my insulin stuff so failed prescriptions don't impact me.
