Out for Dinner nothing to eat

Or so I thought ... decided to have two starters together for main meal

Smoked salmon with an avocado & bacon salad, plus I ate almost a whole tomato from the salad

Unbelievable :crazy: bg= 5.3 :crazy: best I've ever had after meal even with exercising,

So calculating I had about 22 carbs and I NEVER eat 22 at one sitting and my body seems to react very strongly to tomato, so I hardly ever have them - how come my bg's were so low ?

(are avocado's magical in some way?) :silent:

anyway to try to recreate the experiment I have ordered smoked salmon and avocado with my delivery tomorrow, so I shall re-test and see what happens

Hi Angua, congrats on the reading! Did you have a glass of wine or gin and tonic with the meal? A small amount of alcohol can be beneficial to your BG ... maybe avocado and salmon are your new superfoods!!

Nope nothing to drink except diet coke and a black coffee

perhaps its just fluke rather than magical avocado's ?
 
Hi! Where did the 22 grams carbs come from? Doesn't sound like a carby meal. Even a big tomato is only 5 grams carbs approx. A whole avocado is about 3. What was the other 14?

I'm guessing that someone has been counting their carbs from an American website, and has forgotten to subtract the fibre.
