The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
Okay so I am being good as far as my diet is going, whilst I am battered and bruised. The thing is I am constantly hungry at the moment no matter what fats are included in my meals. Just had 2 eggs for breakfast thought that would fill me up - normally does. An hour latter hunger! Just raided some left over chicken but still feel hungry! Anyone else get like this when they are in pain. I am finding it really difficult to control and if I have too much salt I get carpal tunnel in my hands so any advice would be appreciated :banghead:

Hug for the pain and hunger conundrum. Everyone is different so advice will be personal/n=1 I imagine. I find some medication makes me hungrier than normal. . My way of handling extra hunger from pain/medication is to drink more. In my case more 750 mls mugs of tea with almond milk. I'll be interested in other replies, Neither eggs nor chicken actually do anything to satiate me anyhow. Hugs, thoughts and prayers for you. How is the bruising?

The bruising has started to change from black to green colour in places so I think that is good. I have a small bruise coming out on my tail bone but no obvious pain. I have managed to pull my chest also in the process of the fall. Just a bit fed up now, I can sit down if I scooch to one side, I can walk around no problem, just getting a bit emotional by it all but I know others have worse so that's what I am trying to unsuccessfully to focus on. Not sure if I have delayed shock or something but I am in tears most of the time at the moment but not so much from the pain, when I catch a glimpse it just looks so blooming awful! I echo that with the tea, I am currently drinking lots of strong tea in my "Don't worry Bee Happy" gardeners mug!

When mobile enough none of us should be dealing with feeling hungry on low carb.

I'd try adding some butter to the eggs, and/or cheese - so an omelette or scrambled.
If you are struggling to cook at the moment then just munch on cubes of cheese after meals.
If you eat green veg add butter, and oily dressings on salads.
Many of us can have a few nuts with spiking too much - these could help fill you up until you feel better.

I can't stand for long so cheese or nuts plus cooked chicken and a coffee with full fat milk are my standbys. Or a tin of tuna eaten straight out of the can!

I'm thinking that both dealing with pain, and physical healing can take a lot of energy. Literal energy as in using up calories, it's hard work.
It might be you simply need more food while your body is working hard?
I think you are right, I have never felt this hungry. Emotionally I feel drained and my stomach is growling! Off to get some chicken - again with a cream sauce that hubby has made for me.

Eggs for breakfast - I have three, and if scrambled they are cooked in butter with some grated cheese added in just at the end of cooking, and them some sliced tomato. I found that it was important to have a little carbohydrate as that stopped the continued rise in blood glucose which would happen otherwise.
