Atkins and paleo are different versions of low carb eating. Atkins is a "health thing" too, not just for weight loss.diabeticchicken said:Its a health thing rather than some weight loss program,...

What has high fat got to do with a Paleo diet? Palaeolithic man eat a diet of mainly nuts, berries and occasional lean meat, fat was unavailable.
However in answer to your question, you just have to ask any cardiologist about fat and diet to get the answer, and before you say all cardiologists are wrong, I would rather believe my cardiologist than you thanks muchly
anniep said:Yes animals do contain fat, but animals in the past contained a lot less than they do today. Modern animals are bread for qiuck growth and quick weight gain and lead sedentary lives that build up fat. The animals in our food chin today bear no resemblance to the animals that our ancestors hunted and ate.
Thousands of years ago animals lead a nomadic life and so were a lot leaner, with more muscles than they are today. They also took longer to reach maturity and had themsleves eaten a very difererent diet to todays farmed animals - even free range meat is nothing like the meat the paleolithic people ate. And of course they had eaten no chemicals or modern medicines that many animals have.

I recently had a discussion with one cardiologist who kept spowting opinions on diet rather than actual fact. No one is capable of producing any non-bias, non-dairy evidence of a link between fat and poor health...because there isen't any.

Why is it a fad diet? Are you able to produce any non-bias, non dairy evidence of a link between fat and poor health?

I have seen the actual results of what fat can do to your Arteries. I had a triple by-pass in 2004 because my Coronary Arteries were furred up ! What makes you think I am going to listen to some lay person telling me fat isn't bad for you.
