Pancakes Anyone?

Hi @Rachox ..
OK, 3.1 grams of carbs in each .. but who's going to stop at one 15 gram pancake?? More realistically, it's 20.4 grams of carbs per 100 grams, which seems pretty carb heavy to me .. and for anyone following VLC or Keto, that's a full day's carbs gone in a few sweet and sugary mouthfuls. Not for me I'm afraid .. if I fancy something for "afters", I'd rather have some cheese. I would also baulk at paying £12.99 for a tub of powder which, to my mind, doesn't really fit the description of "real food", which is all I have eaten since I committed to my LCHF lifestyle in February.
But, different strokes for different folks .. so, enjoy ;)

I’ve ordered some, I won’t see it as a regular addition to my diet. Just thought it might be nice as an occasional treat, especially so I won’t feel left out on pancake day! I might just be able to squeeze two into my daily 50 - 70g/day!

They took a while to arrive as demand was high, but here’s today’s lunch! I used double quantity for one large pancake (made with water), bacon and sugar free maple syrup. Total 6.2g carbs! Was very tasty and filling :hungry:

I couldn't see the ingredients but aren't there recipes with cream cheese and egg for pancakes? That sounds better to me.
I’ve tried the cream cheese and egg ones but this was much more like a traditional pancake, it mixed more easily than the cream cheese ones and didn’t stick to the pan either. Here’s the ingredients, milk protein, whey protein, soya protein, egg white, oats, liquid coconut oil, bicarbonate of soda and sucralose. As I said above just an occasional quick to prepare treat! Showed a rise of 0.5mmol/l two hours post lunch.

I have made these a few times.

They are much liked in the B household. :D

I use tinned pumpkin puree (which just happens to be in the shops now, but will disappear by Xmas)
The pancakes are rather fragile and less flexible than normal ones, so they need to be made small like drop scones as in the picture.

Just watched it on the diet doctor fb home page video. I thought I may not stop at 3 mini pancakes so I disregarded it.
Definitely 3 eggs and cottage cheese with husk. Cooked in coconut oil.

I absolutely loved pumpkin pancakes !! Always served them and they were devoured for holiday brunch. Of course at the time it was with wheat flour.
