Yep. I did around 24:35 Huddersfield is all Tarmac though. Not got a scanner time as it fell over and died when they tried uploading the data.

Long marathon training run in the morning.

You did a pretty good time coming back after a break.

copepod, nice going :) i understand the friendly part but not the hills lol, i hate them, they hurt my knees, im too old for hills :)

mongoose, me too tommorow, my long run....ughh

the parkrun nearly killed me lol but im glad i got below the 27 minutes as i thought i hadnt

a double?

they are having an extra parkrun new years day which i fancy but what do you mean double?

If you have a look on the Christmas new year compendium you will see they are starting at different times on New Year's Day. So as an example local to me I can do Dewsbury at 8.30am then either Huddersfield at 10am or Oldham at 10.30

:) there is also longest day. Not official parkruns as it raises insurance issues for them. I think some did 6 last year. I get the parkrun podcast so pick up on these bits

If I weren't doing a 15 mile mini ultra run on NYD, I'd be doing a Parkrun double - easy logistics with 2 within Leeds alone. I'm more of a trail runner / orienteer than a road runner, so favour Parkruns with hills for interest, and preferably mainly on grass / earth rather than tarmac - tarmc is what my knees don't like.

Get a pair of these shoes for your park runs lol, my wife "borrowing" my sons pair lol

went out for my long run this morning, by mile one i wished id stayed in doors, mile 7 my left knee almost made me stop, it felt like a balloon and every step was painful, by mile ten my knee was fine and i was figuring on doing twenty miles, by mile twelve i was spent and the half marathon distance seemed like a good idea so thats what i did, stopped at 13.1 miles in 2 hours 15 minutes which was a 5 minute improvement on my last half so all in all apart from not being able to walk now, a successful mission :) my lungs could run forever now at that pace im not out of breath even but my body hurts

17.5 miles in 3h 13 mins last 2 miles were a pain. As much in my head as in my legs. I really slowed right down.
