PCOS & Type 2

Oh yes! Have you eaten something? I never want to eat when I'm unwell.

Yeh, I have to eat soft food. I can't eat any thing with texture at the moment... so not sure what to eat. This morning I ate some porridge but didn't feel that went down too well because my oesophagus felt like it was burnt or inflamed on the left as the food was going down (I waited until the porridge was luke warm)... although I did eat slowly and I think it wasn't as bad as yesterday with how the food was going down. Yesterday it felt like food was getting stuck in my oesophagus and the air and food together was causing a lot of pressure in my chest and my heart kept palpitating. If I drank water I could feel it sitting in my oesophagus. This morning thankfully I didn't get much of that and it seemed to be moving. So I think I have to keep up with eating slow. I'm sort of stuck with carbs or eggs I think. The doc at ER said I have to be careful with what I eat considering I have a very upset digestive system at the moment (includes my bowel too). She also did mention she felt I needed to see my gastroenterologist as she was wondering if it is a virus it could be worsening my digestive symptoms. Then she said the other possibility is that it's not viral or a UTI (they're checking for that and will let my GP know) which means my chronic conditions are worsening and my gastroenterologist will need to rethink my meds.

It is frustrating though. But today I am thankful my BP has been normal all morning. In fact it was 108/69 at one point when I checked which is brilliant. I'm just real tired more than anything today. This ER doc told me I should only ever check my BP once a week with hypertension... I just gave her a funny look as my other docs have told me I need to know what pattern I have with BP and be able to advise them what I notice. They didn't say only check once a week. They mentioned to check regularly over a few days to get an idea if my ramipril is working well or not.... have a break for a few days then do it again. I tend to check using that pattern when I remember. I will regularly check when I'm feeling unwell which is what I was doing yesterday.

Oh no :o Hopefully your GP can help. No, I don't eat rice pudding as it's very sweet here and I only eat basmati or brown rice if I eat rice.

Half a tin in UK is 15grams of carb. Warming and incredibly filling. Sugars are just rising!!

You can make a rice pudding with basmati and coconut milk I add egg and sweetener.

Cool... although I can't use sweeteners. I would only ever eat rice pudding as a treat, not as a meal. :)
