Went for a 45 minute walk at lunch time which I wouldn't have done if I hadn't bought a pedometer!

Woohoo awesome work!

I've been reading your posts and have been inspired to join you in your step quest, so I have ordered myself a pedometer. My steps will nowhere match any of yours as I'm disabled with mobility problems and housebound but I intend to increase each day by 75 more steps then the previous day, even if it means just walking up and down the hallway to do it.

Brilliant Nicola!

Just what we wanted the thread to do!

It must be hard to be housebound so an extra gold star to you for trying.

I am sure it will help to be more active if you can and I am looking forward to seeing your scores!

4386- but I'm nearly done for the day, it's blowing a gale out there and usually when I finish work I am straight into my pyjamas.

I've also been scoffing Atkins bars today.
Eating when I feel stressed is what got e here in the first place. It's a habit I need to break

I pick at almonds while I'm at work if I feel the need for that hand to mouth motion!

Mint is good for hunger too so I drink peppermint tea sometimes

Just found a free app called "seven"

Well, I received my pedometer yesterday, set it up, wore it and now I'm not to sure how accurate it is. I counted 50 steps, it said 16! I Will re-read instructions to make sure that I've set it up right and try again.

Haha they're not super accurate ill give you that. Make sure you've set the step length right, and be aware of when on your body it is. If it swings around too much it loses accuracy. I keep mine in a pocket usually

Thanks Hale. I've just checked and it was set up correctly. I've set it to the shortest step length as I don't have a very long step. I have been wearing it around my neck but will try it in my pocket. I've just spent the past 5 mins walking up and down my hall counting my steps, it was quite a few out but as you said it may be swinging too much.
