Pedometer Challenge Thread

I've always wanted to go to Shetland!

6768 today. Next step will be towards bed.

1987 so far today. 4 day headache lingering and persistent hip pain (**** running) has knocked me the last few days. Need to pick things up!

Plenty today on site, but still no meter.

No running though, can hardly stand in this wind

2893 better tomorrow hopefully

T2, Metformin 850 Mg (1 tablet twice daily), venlafaxine 75mg (1 tablet daily), buscopan 10mg (2 tablets 4 times daily)

I decided to join in and bought myself a pedometer yesterday. Had it on all day today and ...

7448 steps today!

I did, however, work a 12 hour shift in a care home so that probably won't be typical of every day.

yay! welcome to the game :)

8580 but strangely 5000 of those were a 5k run, could i be striding almost exactly a meter a step? seems alot, i will be more scientific ie. check it more carefully tommorow night

Welcome Rosie and KevKave

I have an Omron pedometer from Amazon. It had good reviews but was about £20.00.

My score was 7412.

Walked 5,4 km this morning and that worked out at about 6000 paces. As your running stride is probably longer than my walking your meter per stride does not sound far wrong.

6042 :)

Took mine off to change clothes and forgot about it for a bit, so very annoyed because my score was 7804.

2,576 so far today from housework. Cleaning windows didn't require a lot of steps clearly :(

4,461 and it's not even 10am :)

Knocked 1:30 mins off my 3.5km run today, feeling pretty good.

(Except my foot knee and hip hurt. Wheelchair?)

finally got one, after walking halfway round town to find it (how many steps was that?)

Total today 15032

about 9000 of that was an 11km run.

Not bad for a bumming around the house day.

My 3.5K was 4,000 steps.... You'd think 11k would be more steps?

Not sure quite how accurate the pedometer is, but I may also have a longer stride than you

id taken to stretching after my runs, nothing before, it seemed to help with the recovery

i have a tour of the childrens trust (my charity) tommorow then a 20 mile run with the other folks doing the london and brighton marathons for them, im nervous but excited :)

i did 5k the other night as i mentioned and recorded 5000 on the ped, then 5 miles the next night recorded 7000 im sure that cant be right but it makes my brain hurt when i try and do the math

i think dave is 12 foot tall :)

Yep stretch before and after. Just pushed hard today so my body is rebelling I think!
