Peeing in the night

Yes, keep your slippers by your bed since you are going to need them.

My nurse blamed tea, coffee and anything else she could think of but I still get up every couple of hours in the night.

High BG levels for me.
If I am up 3 or 4 times my pre breakfast BG levels will be above 7
If I am up twice, between 6 and 7
Once, between 5 and 6
Not up at all, and I know for sure my BG levels will be 5 or under.

Also same during the day, if I find myself regularly peeing, my BG levels will be high

That's me!!

Four times a night----fed up ------medics no help
Any ideas???

You say the medics have been no help, have you had a referral to the Urology Clinic, if not then ask your gp to refer you over. However, if your diabetes isn't well controlled this can makes us wee more so getting your bg levels under control will help immensely.

A few years ago I was experiencing much the same, they couldn't find anything wrong so I made some dietary changes after reading how certain foods can aggravate the bladder, one was caffeine so I switched to Decaff which seemed to improve things within weeks, so if there's no obvious medical cause for your complaint try making a few small changes yourself and cut the caffeine out and see how you get on, not promising it will make a difference but its worth a try.

Hi. If your blood sugar is OK, then I would ask to see a urologist. Have you had a PSA test recently? I had to have an op last year for a greatly enlarged prostate, so do get it checked out.
