Dear type 1 community.
I've had weird BG oscillations since the beginning of this year. I even switched from Lantus to Tresiba as my body stopped responding to Lantus but, after a few months, I realized that my BG shoots up (oscillates btw 10-16mql/ml) exactly 10 days before my period (and in this period my body also started skipping periods but, again, 10 days before I am supposed to get my period my sugar would shoot up too). I am 44 and in addition to diabetes, I have endometriosis. I've had 2 keyhole surgeries where together with the cyst a part of my ovary (and therefore egg reserves) was removed. This summer my gyno confirmed that I am in perimenopause. Is there anyone out there who had a problem regulating their BG due to perimenopause? My routine is the same, I watch what I eat and I do half an hour of yoga in the morning but my BG is still high during this period, what is your advice?
