There is much going on at the moment regarding the welfare of the people of Britain.
I know it was not long since the last update but I wanted to highlight Sunday’s Andrew Marr Show on BBC where Andrew raised my Brother David’s case directly to the Prime Minister. He also quizzed him on the Conservatives policies regarding the welfare reforms.
Mr Cameron was informed of the circumstances leading to the death of David and all the suffering that has and is being caused by the sanctions regime.

This campaign is not political, it is about compassion and humility to the vulnerable and supporting the needy people in our society. It is about getting it right, about lessons being learnt and acted upon so that no more deaths or unnecessary suffering occur.
Governments are put in by the people for the people, rich or poor, and they need to listen to the people, big organisations, whistle blowers and all who have spoken out on sanctions over the years
Labour has committed to put all the recommendations made by the DWP Select Committee into operation and await response from the other parties.
This campaign’s focus is to end these cruel sanctions but it isn’t over, and after the election we will need to continue to pressurise the new government to act.
The Inquiry and recommendations are an important step, but there’s still more to go and we must ensure lessons are not just “learnt” but acted upon by the new government, to ensure our vulnerable are not persecuted and no longer at risk.
I want to thank you for all your personal emails and comments that have been posted to the website over the last year. Your commitment and support is of immense value to me and others and will help make a difference in these very testing times. It gives not just comfort but hope to all those out there still suffering, and we must never give up.
