Was just watching a video by KenDberryMD and found out that 3 things my Gp got me on can raise my blood sugar.

He got a link to list of medication below video. Hope someone finds it helpful and i am off to check rest of my medication :)

That's very helpful. Maybe we need more IT programs for drug interactions. Big Pharma could do that and inform doctors. Thank you very much.

Knew about Statins & Steroids but the asthma drugs were a surprise.
I take statins as my total cholesterol was 9 at diagnosis.
My last lipids had me in the 4s but I've no breakdown so no real insight.
Even with the statins my BGs are in range so I continue to take them.

It really does need to be shouted from the rooftops that statins can raise blood sugar, and have a very plausible connection to T2.
I'm not actually anti-statin per se, but the risks need to be acknowledged.
I have a good cardiologist who discussed the blood sugar issues with me, gave me a reasoned and logical argument as to why a statin was worth it in my specific case, then put me on the lowest appropriate dose for the shortest appropriate time. From what I've heard from my parents in the UK and many others though, many doctors force them onto anyone over 40 like a daily multivitamin, say there are no possible side effects, and anyone who claims otherwise is lying or deluded: certainly I have read commentary that people who claim muscle pains, fatigue etc are indulging in a reverse placebo effect. I'm not so sure.
