Here's another one for the thread on statins (whereever that is):



What do you make of this?
 
Page 8 post 141.. but no worries about putting it up twice.. always worth a second watch..

And may be especially pertinent at the moment...lightbulb moment?

With Vit D levels being an apparently major marker of COVID severity it may not be a great time to be taking statins...

I think tracking stain use with covid mortality/hospitalisation would be interesting. Lower cholesterol levels are linked with higher mortality for the over 70s. There again that experiment could only throw up a hypothesis given that most over 70s seem to be on statins!
Have asked my dad (t2) to talk to his doctor about his ACE inhibitors and the statins but I think I may also some send him some ubiquniol/co enzyme q10 too. Luckily he is getting plenty of natural vitamin D whilst quarantined with a large garden!
 
I did read somewhere that some "experts" are looking at statins as a method of helping with Covid. Big Pharma no doubt. Oh ... and also as a way to reduce obesity!
