I have been on low carb diet for ten days now and lost half a stone feel really good but blood sugars have stayed the same and even gone a little higher i am at a loss as to what to do.

Well done on your weight loss @BEVGT : )

Could you give us an idea of what you'd eat in an average day and what kind of blood sugar results you're getting?

Please let me second the congratulations on the weight loss.

Like Azure has said what sort of thing are you eating? After all although the amount is import, it is also the type of carbs that you eat that can make a difference.

Also remember that when the body has been running at blood glucose for a long time and then the glucose input from food drops the liver will compensate by throwing out more, sometimes it can take a bit for the stores in the liver to be depleted before the numbers start to really drop.

Thank you for your replies have not been exercising just walking at work
This is just an example of what i have been eating on wakening 10.4 breakfast scrambled egg ham coffee, 1pm 12.6, had celery peanut butter,
at 4.30 9.1, in the evening had prawn salad diet coke
On waking 11.4 boiled egg half slice wholemeal toast, at 1 pm 11.2 had cottage cheese prawns, dinner fish salad,11.6
yesterday had boiled egg ,lunch was fish veg and by the time i got home which was really late it was 11.6 and thats how it has been going for the last ten days i thought the longer you went between meals your levels would drop .

I'm no expert, but I'd be very hungry on a diet like yours. I'd need to nibble on nuts or cheese between those meals.
