being a diabetic and finding restrictions.to life style. people who do not understand the problems one has. not being able to afford to come back to uk for holidays as often, quite expensive. miss some foods that the French do not do. but can live with that French drivers. who love to tail gate. and they love to drive over the white line. in rural areas they are a pain. but get use to it. does put the wind up you. But driving in the UK found that drivers want to get as close as they can. and the traffic. it took me 25 minutes to get to friends house which was less then a mile away. due to traffic.
Can you please explain in laymans terms what some of the letters mean. I am not into these. and I often read blogs that say LCH etc. can some explain what they refer to.
Sorry, just need to understand the terms that you use. As I have not heard of these before coming onto forum
would help me understand what you are referring to. many thanks.

Yes, LCHF is Low Carb High Fat, but whereas you do need to Low Carb you only need enough fat and protein to give you the calories and other nutrients you need
A strict LCHF can look like this: 5% energy from carbs, 15% from protein and 80% from fat. Or if you want to go higher on protein like 20E% that leaves you with 75E% from fat.

Or generally something like 150-200 grams of fat per day.

I think it may be unwise to go too high in protein as it may cause damage to the kidneys and make bg go up, while fat has no adverse effects at all.

many thanks. there are other ones which you mention but blowed if I can remember them.
Just need to understand your lingo. Feel a bit of an idiot.
When you are new. it is difficult to understand some of the letters . But thank you very much
