well, if youd read above, ive managed to get him some food so yeah sure come along, mate.
We'll meet you at Hitchin train station and you can see for yourself, its a sincere invitation. you seem to be so concerned with me already, why would you not come? come on, mate, your a 60 year old man, you said you'd seen it all. im sure a train journey to talk to someone face to face instead of bullying them from behind your computer screen would be no trouble for you, eh?
Or are you just that? a sad, lonely old man with nothing better to do than criticise people who are in great need and asking for help and advice. Nevermind, mate, why don't you take your criticisms to a site where time wasting is more of a priority and helping and supporting people is less so. You'll notice my subject title was not "please come and criticise me and my endevours to help my frighteningly sick friend" it was "please help me to help my friend". you, my senile old friend, have not helped in any way therefore i see no reason for you to be posting in this discussion.
Anyway, ill see you at the station in a few hours, shall i? cheers.

There was only ever gonna be one ending for a thread like this unfortunately. Hopefully you've had lots of good advice that you can pass on to your friend. To be honest, an on-line forum is not the best solution for a problem like yours. I think he needs to speak to someone at CAB or similar to advise further on benefits etc. Good luck and keep us posted.
