hi my name is Marie . My daughter is type 1 she is 6 and was diagnosed when she was 4. Just lately she has been complaining of leg pain . To the stage that she cant stand any longer . Even in shops she will sit on the floor for a couple minutes . She gets up as soon as I tell her but I can see the pain in her face . Has anyone experienced this? If so did it pass ? Please help its horrible seeing my child in such pain .

hi and welcome. I'm t2 so cant help but someone will be here very soon to help you
I would however advise anyone with these symptoms to get a b12 test. That is what was wrong with me. Apparently diabetes can reduce your B12.
.

My diabetes consultant always likes to remind me that diabetics get ill too, and not everything that a diabetic gets is caused by diabetes. Particularly with young children. Please get a doctors opinion. A child of her age should not have neuropathy so it is most likely a non-diabetic thing.

hey keep her away from foods that may scrape or scratch her digestive tract, kids seem to live off crispy chicken not good in your young ones case , spicy food , and food with acid in it will strip her of insulin her body will produce more platelets which will clog up her blood flow , hey keep her super fit and plenty of water
platelets get activated when there is pain just to heal cuts
make her heart and lungs strong enough to pump some blood xx
awe look it could be a calcium problem insulin helps calcium absorption straight to the bones the legs especially the front of the shin bone are long and go through alot, growing spirits can make a growing bone sore

I think like Spiker, you xhould take yr little girl to a GP as they should be able to find out what's wrong

Yes, agree with Spiker and iHs, it's time to get your daughter off to see a gp, don't put it off any longer.
