Pm urged to back his promise regarding free prescriptions

Hi Cugila, i just read that post in todays metro.I thought all people with diabetes did not have to pay for prescriptions anyway i have never paid for anything,I do have to for my dental and glasses so i was wondering if i had read this wrong. :? :?

If you are on DIET ONLY you do NOT get free prescriptions in the UK and Scotland. Wales has free prescriptions for all as far as I am aware.
 
A promise is a promise, therefore if the Prime Minister stated that free prescriptions should be available for people with long-term conditions, he should honour his promise.

Our prescription charges here in Northern Ireland were reduced last year to £3.50 per item or £25 for a yearly prepaid certificate. Naturally i myself (asthmatic) chose the yearly option. If the goverment here stick to their promise, prescription charges will be abolished this year. But as there still in talks at stormont over the Good Friday Agreement ect, we could be waiting an awful long time :evil:
