Anyone tried this? I found it in an American recipe and assumed it was a typo.

I do find it tedious blitzing pork rinds. Mine doesn't seem to do it very well.

Are you using rinds or scratchings?
Scratchings I've found are too fatty and cling together , tried to do some veal escalope this week not very successfully.
I think you need the really dry "crackles'" to get a decent crumb more like chicarrones.

I tend to use Mr Porkys lite version. No additives and easier on the teeth. I use scratchings.

In Asia, the sell shredded pork rind, with some almost powdered. I was so happy when I found there were so many variants on crackling to work my way through.

If you have an Asian supermarket near you, you might find something suitable in there.

Thanks. No Asian shops local to me but will keep an eye open on my travels.

Floss? I will add it to the list. So many names, makes it hard to search for.

Floss. Found some on line. Those that list ingredients mention sugar, soy, wheat flour. As I don't read chinese I will just keep looking. I have found a recipe for it though.

I found recipes too, when I looked (I knew what I was looking for but couldn't recall the name). Being gluten free, so many of those things (including most scratchings) are off limits, but thankfully some of these delicious things are very easy to make.

If you blitz Awfully Posh pork crackling or the Real Pork Crackling co pork crunch and add some Parmesan it makes a good crumb. Delicious on chicken wings.
