I have had D2 for about 5 years and am still learning ! I want to pass on some info: that may be useful.
I should know better but have been taking my blood sugar readings before breakfast and not bothering about readings at other times during day. Due to other factors am now on a self imposed low carb: high protein diet. Before I gave up my porridge breakfast for eggs I took a reading before breakfast and got 10 [ideal 4-7]. 3 hours after breakfast it was 17 !!! took all day to come down. I then had the eggs for breakfast and one slice brown bread. The readings before and after were 10 and 10. So, porridge may be good for a 'normal' person but not for me. Hope this helps.
